Sophie Russell

Sophie Russell, born in Leeds, is a classically trained musician, music producer, and poet. She was raised in Bradford and credits much of her musical influence from the ‘underground sounds’ of this city. Since producing under her artist moniker, she has received support and coverage from BBC Introducing and various blog and zine publications.

Sophie is particularly interested in encouraging, and amplifying, the voices of queer and gender non-conforming folk within the music industry and she continues to teach Ableton Live lessons and workshops with a goal to create a safer, more empowering environment.
