Opportunities
Ensembles in Residence In The Making, Sound and Music, UK - applications are now open for Ensembles in Residence. Successful applicants will be part of a 12-month programme, and attend a week-long residential at the University of Huddersfield from Sunday 26th - Friday 31st July where they will work intensively with tutors and musicians to create new works that are recorded and performed, alongside workshops, an Opportunities Fair and sessions with composers and creators. PPL Momentum Music Fund - this fund offers grants of £5k - £15k for UK based artists / bands to break through to the next level of their careers. Activities eligible for support include recording, touring and marketing. There are four rounds of this throughout the year. Round One is open now and closes on 2nd February. Hitmaker Fund - this fund offers grants of £5k - £10k to songwriters and producers working in popular music genres to further develop their careers. There are two rounds of this throughout the year. The Open Fund for Music Creators - this fund offers grants of up to £5,000 to music creators of all genres and backgrounds at different stages of their career. There are two rounds of this. The Composers’ Fund - this fund offers grants of up to £8,000 - £15,000 to composers with a strong track record, giving direct access to funding at a pivotal stage in their career. Fast Track, Help Musicians - musicians are able to apply for a short-term fund of £500 throughout the year to support opportunities. Artists may spend the money on things such as a short course, investing in new software, or taking opportunities to record, release or perform that will help you to fulfil your ambition [MORE DETAILS]
The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation, Sheffield - The Power of Music Foundation supports people of any in age in Sheffield who are socially or economically disadvantaged. They work with individuals and organisations supporting people with disabilities and complex needs, with children and schools and with anyone experiencing hardship.
