Musician/Promoter/Label Manager - Fig by Four

Fig by Four is multi-instrumentalist Sarah Statham, In the project, Sarah sings, plays guitar, bass, drums and keys – gigging with a live band to bring the songs to life. She is also an events promoter, music educator and runs the independent record label Bomb the Twist. Sarah moved from Manchester to Leeds in 2007 and since then has been a collaborator in over forty bands in the city including Esper Scout, Crake and Living Body, as well as facilitating walking tours last year based around Leeds punk and post punk and women’s music history in the city.

Fig by Four’s debut album Capture Reveal was released in October 2023. Hinged on pensive lyrics, dynamic rhythms, characterful guitars, harmonies and ear-catching basslines, the record set out a strong intention for establishing explorational themes which have the ability to engage with audiences in various and always-affirming and connecting ways.

Her as yet un-named second album is due for release in 2026, with a live solo-session version of new track Surgeon Song released in January.
