Natasha Fowler-Ekar
Founder & Creative Producer - GBOSA Collective
Natasha is the founder of GBOSA Nights, a club night & community to champion global black electronic music. She’s a DJ in her own right under the name COCO BOPS, and for the past four years have played alongside DJs such as Lady Shaka and Blck Mamba, with many shows in Leeds and headline shows in Norfolk and Bristol. In the daytime, has worked with community groups in Leeds, with the topics of food insecurity, equality and diversity and community inclusion. She’s worked in hospitality on and off for 10 years, currently running bar in Leeds city centre. Her career has been centred around nightlife and the local community.
GBOSA Nights is black and queer run club night and community centred around global black electronic music. Having running for 4 years, GBOSA has provided a space for the community and friends to come together and here music & genres that are lacking in the city (such as baile funk, uk funky, afrohouse, amapiano, jersey club & other global bass genres). With nearly 20 events (with 15 being sellouts), being recognised as the 3rd Best club night in the UK 2025 by timeout magazine, and building residents of up & coming black djs in Leeds; gbosa has become a mainstay in the Leeds nightlife scene.
