BIPC Librarian

During the day I work for the BIPC as a Librarian – which makes many think of books, but actually I deal in information and resources such as helping businesses understand copyright, providing sole traders with resources on how to declare their income to the Government and running workshops and events where businesses can talk to one another and learn something new. In my personal life I’m a musician (Leeds Conservatoire 2011-2013!) and a creative, too, so one of my strengths as a Librarian is that extra understanding surrounding creative business journeys.

We provide information and guidance around starting a business, intellectual property and other related fields. As part of our offer we can put you in touch with organisations or individuals who offer advice and support, or we can give you access to amazing bespoke resources to boost your success.
