Lavelle is an independent R&B singer-songwriter from Sheffield, making waves as one of the North’s most exciting rising stars. Blending smooth, soulful vocals with honest storytelling, she’s quickly building a legacy — with her first five singles, including Baby Boy and Higher Self, debuting at No.1 on the UK iTunes R&B/Soul charts, a first for a Northern artist.
Her dynamic songwriting has earned placements across Channel 4, Netflix, and the BBC, while her live performances have lit up stages at major UK festivals and events, including the MOBO Awards, where she was handpicked by Toddla T for the “Steel City Sheffield All Stars Riddim.”

In 2025, Afrobaby represented her city’s vibrant music scene at the prestigious Bradford City of Culture launch and later won Best Female Artist at the Bradford Music Awards.

Her debut EP SAFE SPACE is out now, and she is currently working on her second EP — continuing to explore anxiety, self-discovery, love, and personal growth through her fearless, genre-blending sound.
