Tom Robinson (Songwriter & broadcaster - BBC Introducing)

Tom Robinson (b.1950) is a songwriter & broadcaster based in London. The Tom Robinson Band became known in the 1970s as supporters of Rock Against Racism & LGBT+ rights.

Between 1975 - 2018 he has released twenty albums and had Top 20 hits with 2-4-6-8 Motorway, Glad To Be Gay and War Baby.

He began broadcasting on the BBC World Service in 1985 and has since hosted programmes on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5 Live and won two Sony Radio Awards. He now presents NowPlaying at BBC 6 Music and The BBC Introducing Mixtape.
