Sally Currie (Finance & Operations Manager - Jazz North / The Dyr Sister)

Sally Currie is a qualified accountant and has worked in finance for 20 years, most recently in the arts sector in Hull.

She was recently appointed as the Finance & Operations Manager at Jazz North after 4 years working at Freedom Festival Arts Trust.

She is a founding director of The New Adelphi Club CIC which operates one of the UK’s longest running independent music venues. During the pandemic she worked for MVT reviewing funding bids for music venues across the country.

She is also a violist, songwriter and composer who has been partially deaf since birth. In 2019 she was awarded an Emergent Commission by Drake music.

In 2021 she was accepted onto Sound and Music’s Composer Curator programme. She is currently the leader of The Dyr Sister, a contemporary folk trio.
