Lauren Askew

Lauren is a Leeds based media composer, violinist, arranger, and orchestrator from Somerset, studying Film Music at Leeds Conservatoire.

Performing around Leeds, as well as writing and producing film scores and string arrangements, her interest in the wider creative industries has continued to grow. She loves collaborating and bringing people together around creative projects and enjoys supporting others to achieve a shared vision. She is passionate about advocating and supporting female and queer musicians in the creative and film music industries.

She is also assistant director of The Bezalel Orchestra, a growing collective of diverse creatives across Leeds.
