Claudia Fenoglio

‘It Always Fades In The End’ releases Friday 2nd October 2025 via Launchpad+ / EMI North

Music embargoed until 2nd Oct 2025.

Few singer-songwriters are afraid to stray from their roots and venture into uncharted musical territory, but this isn’t the case for Leeds rising-star Claudia Fengolio.

After bursting onto the West Yorkshire music scene in 2019 with her debut single ‘Waste’, the indie-pop songstress swiftly carved out a reputation for following her own artistic path.

Initially finding her feet in the northern musical metropolis as an acoustic solo artist, Fenoglio quickly established herself as a standout among the sea of Phoebe Bridgers imitators. Her debut EP, What If I’m Here Forever, arrived in September 2023 and immediately sparked attention from BBC 6Music, and major music publications such as Wonderland, Clash, and Earmilk. Born from a trip to Nashville with her parents, the EP’s tracklist surfaced as a response to the masterful storytelling deep within the heart of the city’s sound. Upon her return, she began to test the waters of the queer, northern music scene, using her artistry to weave stories of her own experiences. Laying the foundations for songs like ‘Girlfriends On TV’ and ‘Alaska’ within the walls of her bedroom on an acoustic guitar, their bare bones would be left in the hands of producer Tim Malkin, and transformed into instant crowd pleasers. ‘Girlfriends On TV’ also earned Fenoglio a nomination for ‘Best Original Track’ at the Youth Music Awards in 2024.

Known for her captivating live performances, Fenoglio celebrated her debut EP with a sold-out show at The Vinyl Whistle in Leeds and supported artists such as John Paul White (The Civil Wars), Ellie Bleach, and Dent May. She also took her music across the Atlantic to perform at the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and rounded out 2024 with full-band shows at Live at Leeds and Chris Hawkins’ Awesome Friends gig.

Fast-forward to 2025, and Fenoglio is reacquainting fans with her flare for delicious vocal hooks, gearing up for the release of her sophomore EP, It Always Fades In The End, due in October via EMI North and Launchpad+. Diving into the feeling of holding onto something slipping away, Fenoglio’s latest work leans into the emotions of lingering attachment. At the EP’s centre is a message of learning to let go while reveling in the bittersweet experiences of every feeling in between. Her first single of 2025, ‘Julia’, emerged as a late-night confession of heartbreak, temptation, and the struggle to let go, as Fenoglio immediately sets the tone for the rest of her EP. Taking her sound in the direction of The Japanese House, Etta Marcus, and Samia, ‘Julia’ marks a bold evolution in her musical style. Later tracks, like ‘I didn’t mean to do that!’ and ‘Make you mine’, capture the poignant and often unexpected nature of romance, exploring its rawest forms against a backdrop of fizzy synths and warm guitar inflections. Having already gained playlist additions from renowned publications DORK, The Line of Best Fit, and Noctis, it’s a promising start for the Leeds indie-pop maverick.

Look a little closer, and Fenoglio is revolutionising the indie-pop genre as we know it. Whether in her bedroom or in the studio, Claudia Fenoglio is an artist who isn’t afraid to challenge herself and her listeners, creating timeless, boundary-pushing pop music along the way.
