Tanisha Badman (Vocalist/Guitarist - goo)
I've been playing music since I was 6 and writing since I was 10. Getting a job working in a music venue seemed like a natural step and I loved working at The Exchange in Keighley. We created a proper hub for local bands and I helped run the venue and put events on during my time there. I played guitar and sang harmony vocals in an acoustic duo called Felka for a number of years and now I sing and play guitar in goo. We're very collaborative when it comes to writing which is something we're all proud of, songs never feel quite finished until each of us has put our own stamp on it!
Born out of lockdown boredom in 2020, we bonded over a love of 90s grunge. We met at gigs seeing each others bands at a venue in Keighley called The Exchange. It’s a shame the venue isn’t there anymore, the Keighley music scene owes a lot of credit to The Exchange and the 10+ years it provided for local bands and music fans. As a band we share a lot of influences like Pavement, The Breeders, Blur, The Beths, Courtney Barnett and many many more. We don't really fit neatly into a genre so we describe ourselves as indie-punk. We've had the privilege of touring parts of Europe in 2024 and the even bigger privilege of touring the UK with PUP and Illuminati Hotties in 2025. We're currently working on our debut album which we're planning to release in 2026 and are trying to keep playing all around the UK.
