Some of Milly’s songwriting inspiration stems from the female experience, connection and longing in many different forms. Her lyrics can be personal and introspective at times, many starting with feelings of frustration or anger and adapting into songs that feel more soft and ‘solved’. Many of her lyrics originate as poetry and her main inspirations stem from 90s dream pop, velvet underground, pj harvey.
