Lucas Assagba is a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Leeds. Her avant-garde indie sensibilities map out dynasties of realisation and growth, merging the world-filling elegance of Weyes Blood and Lucy Dacus with the unbridled audacity of Mitski and Paramore.

Her newest offering, the gritty ‘What more could I ask you to do?’ deals with the fallout of finding resolve, and the melancholy that exists within the reclamation of sanity and security. The three-track EP sees Lucas map out new sonic and thematic territory as she rides a wave of catharsis and claws her way out of emotional oblivion. Across the three tracks (two of which were produced alongside Fuzz Lightyear’s Ben Parry), she pairs her usual layered ethereality with biting guitar riffs, spiky vocal delivery, and her rawest songwriting to date.
